About this opportunity
The Peter and Suzanne Davidson Scholarship is awarded to third-year Doctor of Medicine students at the University of Sydney who demonstrate an interest in general practice and community primary care. Established in 2015 through a generous donation by Peter Davidson in memory of his wife Suzanne, this scholarship provides financial assistance to support students pursuing careers in general practice. The scholarship is specifically designed to help students with travel and living expenses related to general practice placements during their elective terms, as well as costs associated with attending conferences in general practice. Recipients must be undertaking either an eight-week elective term or two four-week elective terms focused on general practice and/or community primary care during their fourth year of study. Selection is based on academic merit and a personal statement demonstrating interest in and understanding of general practice and community primary care.
