About this opportunity
The Peter and Vaclav Havlicek Chemistry Scholarship honours the legacy of the late Peter Havlicek, a distinguished and much respected member of Swinburne's Department of Chemistry, and a pioneer in the use of microcomputers. These generous scholarships support talented science students who have or are overcoming educational disadvantage. Each year, the scholarships provide financial assistance to both undergraduate and postgraduate students pursuing a qualification in Chemistry at Swinburne University, with scholarships of $10,000 per year for 3 years awarded to successful applicants. The scholarship aims to support students with a passion for chemistry or biochemistry who can demonstrate educational disadvantage in categories including personal information and location, financial hardship, living with a disability or medical condition, or difficult family and life circumstances.
