About this opportunity
The Peter Davidson Music Scholarship is a $10,000 undergraduate scholarship established in 2019 to support students from regional and/or rural areas who are studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. This scholarship was donated by Mr. Peter Davidson and is awarded based on academic merit, personal statement, portfolio and/or performance, and demonstrated evidence of being from a regional or rural area.
The scholarship provides $10,000 per annum for up to one year, paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment in an undergraduate degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
This scholarship is awarded either as a merit or equity scholarship. For merit-based scholarships, no application is required as students are automatically considered as part of their admission application. For equity scholarships, students can apply when applications open. Semester 1 applications typically open in February annually, and subject to available funding, Semester 2 applications may open in August.
