About this opportunity
The Peter H. Nash Environmental Studies Entrance Scholarship was established by the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo to mark the retirement of Peter H. Nash, the founding dean of the Faculty, and subsequently in memory of the late Inez Frost Nash. This scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding student entering first-year studies in the Faculty of Environment.
The scholarship is valued at up to $1,000 and is designed to recognize and support exceptional incoming undergraduate students who demonstrate strong academic performance. Recipients are selected based on their academic merit and are enrolled in one of the Faculty of Environment's programs.
Eligible programs include Climate and Environmental Change, Environment and Business, Environment Resources and Sustainability, Geography and Aviation, Geography and Environmental Management, Geomatics, International Development, Knowledge Integration, and Planning. The scholarship is open to both Canadian/permanent resident students and international students. No separate application is required, as students are automatically considered based on their admission application.
