About this opportunity

This scholarship aims to support the next generation of Indigenous students working to create change in their communities and in the world, and in a small, yet meaningful way to address historic inequity. This scholarship covers the full cost of accommodation for a standard room at Kev Carmody House. The scholarship is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are domestic students, can demonstrate financial need, and are enrolled or intend to enrol in an approved program at the University of Queensland. Applicants must be residents or intend to be residents at Kev Carmody House. Applicants need to provide their QTAC reference number, evidence of financial hardship (such as Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income), proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status, and documentation of academic and community service/leadership achievements.
