About this opportunity
The Peter Lawrence Memorial Scholarship supports Honours, Masters and PhD students in Anthropology at the University of Sydney to undertake research overseas. Established in 1988 by Mrs Fancy Lawrence, wife of Emeritus Professor Peter Lawrence who was a Professor of Anthropology at the University of Sydney from 1971 to 1986, this scholarship provides funding for overseas fieldwork or any other activity that is part of their research project. The scholarship is awarded annually based on academic merit, curriculum vitae, and a personal statement describing how the scholarship will assist in the student's studies. The exact value is determined each year by the selection committee based on available spending allocation from the trust. Funds may not be used for preparation of a thesis for presentation.
