About this opportunity
The PGCE Disabled Students Bursaries at Goldsmiths, University of London provide financial support to students with disabilities pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). This bursary offers a £4,500 cash award to support disabled students entering teacher training programs. The bursary is designed to help remove financial barriers for students with recognized disabilities who are undertaking PGCE studies at Goldsmiths. Two bursaries are available for students entering in 2025.
Applicants must hold an offer of study on a PGCE at Goldsmiths, have a recognized disability disclosed on their UCAS teacher training application, and be eligible for Home fees. The selection process is competitive, with applications assessed on both academic record and responses to application questions. The awarding panel from Education and Lifelong Learning gives equal consideration to diverse skills, attributes, and experiences, focusing on content and relevance rather than writing standards.
Applications open on 1 April 2025 and close on 30 May 2025 at Midnight BST. Successful applicants and reserve candidates are determined through a multi-stage selection process, beginning with eligibility screening by the Scholarships Co-ordinator followed by panel review.
