PGCE Mature Student Scholarship

The PGCE Mature Student Scholarship at Goldsmiths, University of London provides financial support to mature students pursuing non-salaried PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) qualifications. The scholarship awards £3,000 for one year of study to students aged 25 or over at enrollment. Up to 2 scholarships are available for the 2025 entry year. Applicants must meet general eligibility criteria including being eligible for Home fees status (UK students) and holding an offer for a non-salaried PGCE from Goldsmiths. The scholarship is designed to support mature students who are making a career change or entering the teaching profession later in their educational journey. The selection process is competitive and considers both academic record and personal statements provided in the application form. An awarding panel from the Department of Educational Studies reviews applications based on eligibility and merit. Applications are accepted between 1 April 2025 and 30 May 2025.
