About this opportunity
This PhD scholarship focuses on developing autonomous discovery of materials through robotic systems that will dramatically increase the rate of materials discovery. The research involves exploring high throughput experimentation through robots and investigating the nature of metal corrosion inhibitor interactions at a fundamental level. The successful candidate will work with three world-class teams to integrate systems together to provide autonomous discovery experimentation. This represents an innovative approach to materials science combining robotics, chemistry, and materials engineering to advance the field of corrosion inhibition.
