About this opportunity
This scholarship supports research on enhancing digital communication in aged care by identifying barriers, improving accessibility, and co-designing an inclusive, evidence-based framework. The project will engage multidisciplinary experts and aged care stakeholders to develop best-practice strategies that enhance resident engagement, shared decision-making, and policy recommendations for aged care providers. Digital communication plays a crucial role in enhancing aged care experiences, yet significant barriers exist, including accessibility, digital literacy, and cultural inclusivity. This project aims to evaluate current digital communication frameworks, identify key challenges through expert panel discussions and stakeholder interviews, and co-design an evidence-based framework for improving engagement between aged care residents, families, and healthcare providers. Using qualitative and participatory research methods, this project will develop best-practice guidelines and policy recommendations to ensure digital tools support shared decision-making and person-centered care in aged care settings.
