About this opportunity

This PhD scholarship supports research aimed at improving the treatment of brain cancers using MR-Linac technology. The project will utilize AI tools for radiotherapy brain cancer treatments, specifically targeting low ADC regions of tumours imaged by MRI and investigating the use of smaller treatment margins that are adaptively monitored and adjusted as treatment progresses. The research will be conducted in collaboration with a local hospital. This opportunity is suitable for engineering students with an interest in implementing AI into clinical practice, or medical physicists or radiation therapists with an interest in implementing deep learning tools into clinical practice.
