About this opportunity

This project examines the people and communities involved in online mis/disinformation debunking to understand the types of approaches being used and their effectiveness. This project invites mixed-methods and interdisciplinary candidates to investigate online debunking practices with the aim of identifying and testing potentially effective strategies to counter mis/disinformation. The scholarship is valued at $35,886 and is open to both domestic and international applicants who must be living in Australia upon commencement of the PhD. The scholarship supports research in understanding and combating online misinformation and disinformation through systematic investigation of debunking practices.
