PhD Scholarship in Target Detection and Tracking

This scholarship is for someone with a background in electrical or computer engineering. It will involve investigating a new methodology for target detection and tracking using machine learning. This research project is to understand how machine learning can be exploited in the areas of target detection and tracking. The goal is to develop tracking expertise in a new student who can subsequently work at either DSTG or in local industry/academia. The research will contribute outcomes to a number of relevant projects within defence. The candidate will be working on Signal Processing/Control Path Planning/Trajectory Planning Multi-Target Tracking/Multi-Object Tracking, Bayesian Filtering, Random Finite Set filters or closely related multi-target tracking approaches in radar.
