About this opportunity
RMIT University is offering a fully funded PhD project focused on wastewater heat recovery with an emphasis on energy efficiency and climate emissions reduction. The project investigates means of recycling waste heat from sewer systems specifically in the food processing sector. The successful candidate will assess available energy resources in wastewater heat in the Australian food sector using measurement and modelling approaches, develop wastewater heat recovery technological solutions for specific food industry settings using computational fluid dynamics modelling, lab experiments and field work, and disseminate findings in high impact journals and scientific conferences. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate researchers interested in sustainable energy solutions and environmental engineering to contribute to innovative climate change mitigation technologies.
