About This Opportunity
This PhD project aims to develop novel nanofibre membranes with superhydrophobicity using novel polymer chemistry and nanofibre morphology. Superhydrophobic membranes with water repellent properties are required for emerging processes such as membrane distillation (MD), for example to draw freshwater vapor from saline water, and membrane gas absorption (MGA). The scholarship provides a stipend of $35,886 per annum for 3.5 years to support a doctoral research candidate working on this innovative water treatment technology with applications in low emission processes. This research is part of RMIT University's commitment to advancing sustainable water technologies and environmental engineering solutions.
