This PhD studentship is funded by Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute and provides comprehensive four-year support for doctoral research. The project, supervised by Professor Florian Markowetz, focuses on developing and applying computational tools for the early detection and deconstruction of chromosomal instability in cancer. The studentship includes full funding for University fees (both home and international rates) and an index-linked stipend starting at £22,500 per year for four years. The position also covers student visa costs and immigration health surcharge for international students. The research will be conducted at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, a leading cancer research institution. Students will join the Markowetz research group, which specializes in computational cancer biology. The studentship offers comprehensive support for the entire duration of the PhD program, allowing students to focus entirely on their research without financial concerns.
