About this opportunity
Applications are invited for a 3.5-year PhD studentship based in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. The student will be supervised by Dr Alexander Forse. Research in the Forse group centers around the development of new materials for climate change mitigation. Supercapacitors are fast-charging energy storage devices that are complementary to batteries. The overarching aim of this PhD project is to understand how supercapacitors work and improve their performance. Research will include a combination of electrochemistry and NMR spectroscopy experiments and analysis. The studentship provides a maintenance grant, and tuition fees at the UK/home rate. Exceptional overseas applicants will also be considered.
