Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is awarded to incoming transfer students at Eastern Illinois University who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence and achievement among students transferring from two-year community or private colleges. Recipients must demonstrate outstanding academic performance with a cumulative 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and possess an Associate Degree prior to enrollment at EIU. The scholarship supports students who have shown dedication to their field of study, academic integrity, professionalism, and organizational skills. Award amounts vary and are announced in the spring for distribution in the fall semester. Applicants must submit transcripts, an essay about their ultimate career goals, and two letters of recommendation including one from their Phi Theta Kappa Advisor.
