About this opportunity
The Philip Thomas Collins Scholarship provides financial support for students undertaking honours studies within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. Established in 2016, this scholarship is designed to assist students who are experiencing financial hardship while pursuing full-time honours programs in science disciplines. The scholarship is valued at $30,000 and is tenable for one year only, paid in two instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients must be Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, or New Zealand Citizens who can demonstrate financial need through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) Equity Scholarship application. Selection is based on academic merit, evidence of financial hardship, and a personal statement outlining the impact of the scholarship on their studies at the University of Sydney.
