About this opportunity
The Phoebe Wanganeen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship was established in 2008 by the City of Salisbury to honour Phoebe Wanganeen, a highly respected Aboriginal Elder who championed improving access to education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout her life. This scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents of the City of Salisbury who are enrolled in their first post-secondary course. The scholarship provides $6,000 in total funding to help students pursue undergraduate degrees at any university in Australia or vocational training courses at any TAFE or Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia. Three scholarships are offered annually. Applicants must demonstrate how the scholarship will support them in attaining their educational goals and qualifications.
