About this opportunity
The Phyllis Wheatley Literary Society Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships to the highest ranking needy graduating student at East Allegheny High School and/or West Mifflin High School who resides in the Duquesne Area High School. This single-year award provides financial support to help graduating seniors pursue post-secondary education at accredited vocational or technical trade schools, or 2- or 4-year colleges or universities. The scholarship prioritizes students who demonstrate financial need and gives preference to applicants who have been disproportionately affected by systemic barriers to educational achievement. This scholarship is designed to support students from the Duquesne, Pennsylvania area in continuing their education and achieving their academic goals.
