Physics Sports Scholarship

The Physics Sports Scholarship is an annual award of £800 provided by the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Birmingham. This scholarship supports students pursuing undergraduate physics degrees who demonstrate highly skilled sporting ability. The programme recognizes the dual commitment students make to both academic excellence and high-level athletic performance. The scholarship consists of a bank transfer of £800 per year for the top 1-4 students who meet the eligibility criteria. Recipients must be playing sport at least at junior regional or national level in a Commonwealth Games or Olympic recognized sport. The award aims to enable students to excel in both their academic journey and extracurricular sporting activities. Applicants' sporting achievements are evaluated by University of Birmingham Sport, with preference given to those most likely to contribute highly to university level teams.
