About this opportunity
The Pierre C. Fraley Scholarship is administered by the Alliance Française and provides funding to give students the opportunity to increase their language proficiency in French and to enrich their understanding of French culture and contemporary society. The scholarship awards $3,500 to support participation in French language programs.
The Alliance Française scholarship committee evaluates applications based on need, merit, and the applicant's career plans when making award decisions. Preference is given to residents of the tri-state area (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware) or to out-of-area students who are enrolled at a university in the tri-state area.
Applicants must be French language students with at least a B1 level of proficiency or French teachers with no more than 3 years of teaching experience. The program must be conducted in French and can be located in either the United States or in a Francophone country, subject to approval by the Alliance Française's Scholarship committee.
