About this opportunity
The Pilgrim's Europe Pig Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for students at Harper Adams University who aspire to follow a career in pig production, animal science or the meat industry. This scholarship is open to 2nd year BSc and 1st year FdSc students who are UK residents and hold a full UK driver's licence.
The successful recipient will receive a significant financial contribution of £4,500 towards their education, along with employment at Pilgrim's Europe during their mandatory placement year. The placement must be relevant to the student's course area and is a required condition of receiving the scholarship.
This is a competitive merit-based award evaluated on the submitted application, academic achievements to date, and performance in an interview. Subject to a review at the end of placement with BQP, there may be an opportunity for further funding in the scholar's final academic year. The award is paid in two equal installments, half in February and the remaining balance in May.
