About This Opportunity

The Swedish Energy Agency offers funding for innovative energy solutions that are developed and demonstrated at a larger scale or in a relevant environment. This program provides support to companies and actors who collaborate to develop solutions with clear potential to contribute to the transition to fossil-free energy systems across all sectors and societal areas. The purpose of the call is to reduce various types of risks and uncertainties and thereby improve the conditions for innovative energy solutions to be scaled up and demonstrated to the market more quickly. Projects can focus on demonstration and development of products, services, processes, and systems. The total eligible costs must be at least ten million kronor. For product, service, or production demonstrations, the call is aimed at companies (legal entities) operating in Sweden that intend to commercialize a solution. For system demonstrations, this call is directed towards Swedish actors who intend to implement and utilize the results. The overall goal of the Pilot and Demonstration program is to contribute to the fulfillment of energy and climate policy goals, with efforts focusing on areas with clear energy relevance that contribute to secure energy supply, strengthened Swedish competitiveness, and socially efficient climate transition.
