Pio and Marisa Iovenitti Memorial Engineering Excellence Scholarship 2026

This scholarship has been established in memory of the late Associate Professor Pio Iovenitti and his late wife, Marisa Iovenitti, by his family and former colleagues to honour Pio's remarkable work and enduring legacy. Pio was an important part of the Swinburne community for over 30 years, particularly within the Faculty of Engineering. During his time at Swinburne, Pio exemplified the values of the University as an effective leader, team player and trusted mentor who was admired dearly by his students and peers. This scholarship supports a postgraduate student studying in their final year of a Master of Engineering Science degree in any specialisation at Swinburne University of Technology. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 for one year and is available to both local and international students enrolled full-time on-campus. Recipients must be continuing second year postgraduate students who have completed 100 credit points and achieved a minimum credit average from first year of the master's program. Applicants are required to submit a personal statement of up to 500 words addressing their interest for a career in engineering and how this scholarship would assist them to achieve their goals, along with an academic transcript of their first year of the Master of Engineering Science degree.
