About this opportunity

The Pioneering Women in STEM scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship program offered by the Swedish Institute that supports women from Africa and Asia who want to lead innovation, tackle complex challenges, and contribute to more inclusive and sustainable societies. The scholarship provides financial support for full-time, one- or two-year master's studies at Swedish universities across a range of English-taught programmes focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Recipients become part of the SI Network for Global Professionals, a platform for collaboration, learning, and lifelong connection with fellow leaders from around the world. The program aims to support women who are ready to shape the future of STEM and strengthen their communities through knowledge, leadership and action. Applicants must be female citizens of one of the 10 eligible countries (Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam) and demonstrate both work experience and leadership experience.
