About this opportunity
The Pitman Family Social Welfare Scholarship is awarded to select undergraduate and/or international students enrolled at the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare (HBSSW) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship supports students who demonstrate financial need and academic merit while pursuing degrees in social welfare-related fields.
Eligible students must be enrolled in either the Social Work, BS program or the Criminal Justice and Criminology, BS program within HBSSW. Applicants must demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. The scholarship provides $1,000 in financial support to help recipients continue their education in social welfare and related fields.
This scholarship is administered through the UWM Foundation and classified as a need-based scholarship, supporting students in the College of Community Engagement & Professions who are committed to careers in social work, criminal justice, and criminology.
