About this opportunity
The P.J.C. Lindfors Legal Studies Fund was established by Pertti Lindfors, a Finnish-American attorney in San Francisco, to encourage cross-cultural study and understanding by law students in Finland and the United States. This scholarship supports Finnish citizens who have completed at least one year of law studies in Finland or the EU and are applying to, accepted to, or enrolled in an American Bar Association-approved law school in the United States. It also supports American citizens who have completed at least one year of law studies in the U.S. and are applying to, accepted to, or enrolled in a law faculty at a Finnish university.
Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $3,000 and are designed to promote cross-cultural legal education between Finland and the United States. Mr. Lindfors passed away in November 2022, but his generous gift continues to sustain this scholarship program through Finlandia Foundation National. The scholarship fosters international legal education and strengthens ties between the legal communities in both countries.
