Placement Bursary

The Placement Bursary is available to provide financial support for students who have a placement year as part of a sandwich course at Sheffield Hallam University. This bursary offers a one-off payment of £500 to eligible undergraduate students undertaking an approved placement year in 2025/26. The bursary is specifically designed to help students financially during their placement year, which is an integral part of certain undergraduate sandwich courses. Students must be UK or 'home' fee status, paying the University's placement year fee, and have been means-tested with a household income of £62,377 or below. The scheme is only available to students on sandwich courses with placement years, and does not apply to health or education students who have placements as part of their regular course structure each year.
