About this opportunity
The Plumian Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship established in 1953 from a bequest by Reverend Henry Plume. The scholarship is awarded for academic merit to recent school leavers commencing undergraduate study in the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. The scholarship recognizes proficiency in biological sciences, chemistry, physics or geology, with preference given to students from Barker College, Hornsby.
The scholarship is valued at $1,000 per annum and is tenable for one year only. It is awarded automatically based on HSC results and university enrolments, requiring no separate application from eligible students.
Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester and remain enrolled in at least 6 credit points of natural science units of study in each semester during their first year. The scholarship is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
