About this opportunity
The Pomfrey Medical Trust Scholarship is part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship Scheme at the University of Queensland. This scholarship was established in 1991 by a $5,000 bequest from George Henry Pomfrey. The scholarship provides $5,000 in financial support for one year to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Medicine program who can demonstrate financial hardship. The scholarship aims to support Indigenous medical students in pursuing their studies at UQ by providing financial assistance to help them focus on their academic success. Selection is based on demonstrated financial hardship, personal qualities including leadership potential, academic ability, and other factors relevant to future academic success.
