Portsmouth Football Club Partnership Scholarship

The Portsmouth Football Club Partnership Scholarship is awarded by Portsmouth Football Club in partnership with the University of Portsmouth to inspire and support local young people to achieve their educational goals. The scholarship provides £3,000 towards the second year of undergraduate studies, paid in two instalments to contribute towards university fees, rent, or bills. In addition to financial support, recipients gain valuable work experience at the football club, with past scholars working on projects such as redesigning parts of Fratton Park and graphic design work within the marketing team. This scholarship is specifically designed for students from Portsmouth, surrounding areas with PO postcodes, or the Isle of Wight. Applicants must be under 25 at the start of their course, pursuing their first full-time undergraduate degree, and be in their second year of studies when applying. Candidates must also meet at least one of two criteria: being the first in their family to attend university, or having a household income of £35,000 or below. Two scholarships are awarded each year, and recipients can combine this scholarship with other University of Portsmouth scholarships and bursaries they may be eligible for.
