About this opportunity
The Nuffield Foundation POST Fellowship is a 13-week fellowship offered in partnership with the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology (POST). It is designed for PhD students in social science or natural science fields who are undertaking or have recently completed their PhD studies. Successful applicants will be based in UK Parliament, supporting its use of research evidence by producing briefing documents like POSTnotes and POSTbriefs for parliamentarians, assisting select committees in ongoing inquiries, or organizing seminars to inform or disseminate research. Fellows are encouraged to interact closely with activities in the Houses of Parliament, including Select committees, MPs and Peers, and All-Party Parliamentary Groups. The fellowship can be carried out full-time for three months or part-time over a longer period, with the start date in 2025 to be agreed between the applicant, POST, Nuffield Foundation and the applicant's supervisor. Fellows receive a total grant of £8,000 paid in two instalments to cover travel, accommodation, and stipend reimbursement.
