About this opportunity
The University of Birmingham is pleased to announce a number of scholarships ranging from £2,500 to £10,000 for select students in Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. These scholarship awards are for students applying for entry to a postgraduate programme at the University starting September 2026. These are joint awards with our local representatives who are listed below in alphabetical order. The total scholarship fund amounts to £130,000. The scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and a University of Birmingham interview to the highest-performing students starting their University of Birmingham programme in the 2026/2027 academic year. Please note that the scholarship cannot be combined with external government awards.

Applications reviewed based on academic merit. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview. Interview shortlist announced on 30 April, interviews conducted by 8 May, results informed on 12 May.
