About this opportunity
The Postgraduate Education Award for Resident Leadership and Advocacy is awarded to a resident physician with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta. The award recognizes and supports residents who demonstrate excellence in leadership, advocacy, and scholarly work in advancing antiracism, equity, and inclusion for underrepresented groups in Medicine. This endowed award was established by Dr. Ramona Kearney to honor and encourage resident physicians who are making meaningful contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the medical field. Preference is given to resident physicians who identify as a Visible Minority, reflecting the award's commitment to supporting underrepresented groups in medicine.
