About this opportunity
This scholarship provides financial assistance to postgraduate students who are studying gender studies or cultural studies at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is designed to support students who demonstrate financial hardship in relation to various equity categories including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status, low socio-economic background, carer responsibilities, disability, sole-parent responsibilities, regional or remote disadvantage, refugee status, LGBTIQ+ identity, or being first in family. Applicants must be enrolled in or have an unconditional offer to study a postgraduate degree in Gender and Cultural Studies within the School of Humanities. The scholarship is valued at $6,000 and is paid as a once-off payment after the coursework census date. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible to apply. Research students must be willing to conduct research in gender and cultural studies.
