About This Opportunity

The Postgraduate Merit Scholarship is offered by the University of Stirling to UK or Republic of Ireland students with a first-class Honours degree (or equivalent) who are studying full-time on any taught Masters course. The scholarship has a value of £2,000 and is awarded on a pro-rata basis for part-time students. This scholarship will be applied as a fee reduction in the first instance then, if any balance remains, this will be awarded in cash within the first semester of the course. The award is available to self-funded students paying tuition fees to the University of Stirling and only for courses fully taught on campus. Students must be new students starting at the University in January 2026, September 2026 or January 2027. The scholarship is not available for postgraduate certificates, diplomas or modules, or for certain specific programs including MSc Housing (Dissertation only) and MSc Social Work Studies. Students are automatically identified as part of the admissions process, so no separate application is required.
