About this opportunity
This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a Masters by Research or PhD student who is undertaking research in developing a scalable high yield process for the manufacturing of collagen for biomedical applications including corneal bioengineering. The scholarship is funded by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at the University of Sydney and aims to support advanced research in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine focused on corneal applications. The successful recipient will work within the Faculty of Medicine and Health to develop innovative manufacturing processes that could have significant impact on biomedical engineering and ophthalmology. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance of $40,000 per annum for up to 3 years for PhD students or up to 1.5 years for Masters by Research students, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
