About This Opportunity

This scholarship has been established to enable an outstanding PhD scholar to conduct research in the synthesis and characterisation of hydrogen storage materials under the supervision of Professor Cameron Kepert. The research involves laboratory synthesis, determination of materials structure through X-ray and neutron diffraction and various spectroscopic techniques, measurement of materials properties through gas adsorption and calorimetric techniques, and materials fabrication and technological application. This scholarship is supported by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship. The successful applicant will be awarded the scholarship based on demonstrated academic achievement, research experience, curriculum vitae, feedback from an academic referee, research proposal, and excellent skills in chemical characterisation techniques with a willingness to apply multiple approaches to deliver structure-property understandings of hydrogen adsorption in porous framework materials.
