About this opportunity
This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in developing and establishing requirements for the components that comprise infection control programs in residential aged care homes and the governance systems needed to support them. The scholarship supports research students in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney to improve infection control standards in residential aged care. The scholarship is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and provides a stipend allowance for up to 3 years to support full-time doctoral research. Recipients will work on critical research addressing infection prevention and control systems in aged care facilities, with the aim of establishing evidence-based requirements for infection control programs and the governance frameworks necessary to support their effective implementation.
