About this opportunity
This scholarship provides financial assistance to a highly motivated individual to join the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) as a PhD student. The PhD student will have the opportunity to study and contribute to health policy and outcomes research with a focus on quality use of medicines. Under Professor Christine Lu's supervision and guidance, the PhD student will perform and manage research projects from their initial development through publication of findings in peer-reviewed journals. Professor Lu is the Chair of Clinical Pharmacy at Royal North Shore Hospital and conducts research and teaches on health care policy and practice in Australia and the US. The scholarship is funded by a donation from Alek Safarian and is part of the Sydney Pharmacy School, Faculty of Medicine and Health, which has a long history of collaborative research projects with teaching hospitals, research institutes and the pharmaceutical industry since 1899.
