About this opportunity
This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in Meniere's Disease. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend rate for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. The scholarship is funded by the Geoffrey Kenneth Clissold Bequest and is offered through the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. Successful applicants will be selected based on academic merit, area of study and research proposal, and previous research experience. The scholarship recipient receives up to 20 working days recreation leave each year and up to 10 working days sick leave. Recipients who have completed twelve months of their award are entitled to a maximum of twelve weeks paid parental leave. Successful newly commencing international recipients may be eligible to be nominated for the University of Sydney International Tuition Fee Scholarship.

Review process
Candidates are assessed and ranked against paid work experience (20%), publications (60%, with the most points going to first authored Q1 journal publications), and other research outputs (20%). The student assessment accounts for 60% of the final score, while 40% is based on the supervisor's professionalism and collegiality rating.
