About this opportunity
This scholarship provides a unique opportunity for outstanding PhD scholars to conduct research into mental health and substance use. Three scholarships are available, funded by the Matilda Centre, providing stipend support for domestic students undertaking full-time PhD research within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. The scholarship aims to support advanced research that contributes to understanding and addressing mental health and substance use issues. Recipients will work within a research-intensive environment and are expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout their candidature. The scholarship includes provisions for recreation and sick leave, and allows for research overseas subject to approval.
