About This Opportunity

This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in the dual role of neural activity in Parkinson's disease. The scholarship is awarded in whole or in part by Aligning Science Across Parkinson's Grant ID: ASAP-020529 and Grant ID: MJFF-020649 sponsored by the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (MJFF). The Scholarship provides a stipend allowance for up to 3 years, with annual amounts increasing from US $21,525 in Year 1, to US $22,050 in Year 2, and US $22,600 in Year 3, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Applicants must be willing to apply for admission, have an offer of admission, or be currently enrolled to study full-time in a PhD within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. The successful applicant will be selected based on academic merit, a cover letter detailing interest in the subject area, and two academic referees, with shortlisted applicants required to attend an interview.
