About this opportunity
This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in obesity and cardiology. The scholarship is funded by the New South Wales Cardiovascular Early-Mid Researcher Grants and provides support for a domestic student conducting research under the supervision of Professor Kazuaki Negishi. The successful recipient will conduct research focused on the impact of obesity on cardiovascular hemodynamics within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance to support full-time doctoral research for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance and annual progress evaluations. Applicants must have a research postgraduate Masters degree, demonstrated experience in cardiology and obesity research, and a proven track record in academic research. The selection process considers academic merit, a cover letter, and feedback from academic referees, with shortlisted applicants required to attend an interview.
