About this opportunity
This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research into oral health and cardiovascular disease relevant to the prevention of chronic disease at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is funded by a gift from Jerry Schwartz and provides a stipend allowance valued at $32,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years. The recipient must be a domestic student enrolled full-time in a PhD within the Faculty of Medicine and Health and must be supervised by Professor Joerg Eberhard or Professor Clara Chow. The scholarship aims to support research that explores the connection between oral health and cardiovascular disease, with preference given to applicants who have experience in cardiology and/or dental care.
