About this opportunity
This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research on understanding different aspects of the referral process for genetic testing for pathogenic variants that are associated with a higher risk of developing ovarian cancer. The scholarship is funded by the Fussell Family Foundation supporting Cancer Council NSW and the Ovarian Cancer Research Stream. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance to support full-time doctoral research at the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. Recipients must conduct research focused on understanding different aspects of the referral process for genetic testing for pathogenic variants associated with ovarian cancer risk. The scholarship aims to advance knowledge in this critical area of cancer prevention and early detection.
