About this opportunity
A stipend scholarship for a PhD student within the School of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, where the focus of their research is on synthesis of new radiolabelled molecules for radiopharmaceutical studies under the supervision of Prof. Louis Rendina, Prof. Elizabeth New, and/or Prof. Peter Rutledge. This Scholarship is co-funded by the Australian Research Council, as part of the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for the Development of Advanced Radiochemical Technologies (DART), the School of Chemistry and the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend rate per annum for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Recipients receive up to 20 working days recreation leave and 10 working days sick leave each year, and may conduct up to 12 months of research outside Australia with approval.

Review process
Selection based on academic merit, curriculum vitae, feedback from 2 academic referees, previous research experience, area of study and/or research proposal, and a personal statement including suitability and motivation. Preference given to applicants with strong background in synthetic chemistry and/or medicinal chemistry.
