About this opportunity

This scholarship supports postgraduate research within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. It provides financial assistance to PhD students undertaking research in the School of Health Sciences. The scholarship is funded by philanthropic funds and offers a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend rate for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Candidates are assessed based on paid work experience (20%), publications (60%, with the most points going to first authored Q1 journal publications), and other research outputs (20%). The student assessment accounts for 60% of the final score, while the remaining 40% is based on the supervisor's professionalism and collegiality rating. Successful newly commencing international recipients may be eligible to be nominated for the University of Sydney International Tuition Fee Scholarship.
